Biography
Val is a Senior Underwriter. His expertise includes domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, carve-out and joint venture transactions for private and public companies. Val has a knack for finding innovative solutions even with the most complex transactions, including in the healthcare sector. Prior to joining Liberty GTS, Val practiced as a corporate associate in the New York offices of Reed Smith and DLA where his practice focused on cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions, and he practiced as a foreign corporate attorney in the Seoul office of Yulchon Attorneys-at-Law. Val holds a JD degree from New York University School of Law and is admitted to the New York State Bar. Val is dual-qualified in civil law and common law and he advised on corporate matters in Russian, including with Russia-related transactions.
